Maddy & Matt’s summer wedding at Dillman’s in Lac du Flambeau, WI was everything a Northwoods summer celebration should be—relaxed, joyful, and filled with personal touches that made the whole weekend feel like them. From their lakeside ceremony to their sunset portraits on the dock, every moment reflected the laid-back energy of a couple who simply wanted to soak in time with the people they love most.
Getting Ready at the Lake
Dillman’s offers a variety of cabins scattered across the peninsula. The morning of the wedding started slow and easy in those cozy spaces. The girls got ready in a lakeside cabin with windows open, music playing, and the breeze coming off White Sand Lake. Maddy’s bridesmaids wore shades of green—each one a little different, while all flowing beautifully together. The florals by Wanderwild Floral in Eagle River, WI were a true highlight. Lush, textural arrangements with a fresh-from-the-garden feel matched the “lakeside garden party” feel of the day. Maddy’s bouquet was full of texture, design and felt naturally effortless.
A Ceremony by the Shore
The ceremony took place steps from the water on “the point”, with guests seated in front of the bay and lake views did not disappoint. The breeze picked up at just the right moments, and the sun filtered through the trees in that perfect late afternoon summer way. We could not have asked for a more perfect day!
Celebrating a Summer Wedding at Dillman’s Bay Resort
One of the best parts of choosing Dillman’s as a wedding venue in Northern Wisconsin is how it encourages people to slow down and connect. Guests stayed right on site in rustic cabins, explored the beaches, went kayaking, and spent the rest of the weekend like they were on vacation.
