My beautiful sweet cousin Elizabeth got married just a few short weeks ago and it was a lovely event! Elizabeth was my flower girl at my wedding in 2004 and now she is married! So wonderful to see her grow up into a kind, graceful, generous, and beautiful woman. Elizabeth and Mauricio met at church one evening and that was the start of this beautiful relationship. Their wedding day began with a first look and photos in the backyard of Elizabeth’s family home. Mauricio’s reaction & expression said it all! Elizabeth wore her Great Grandmother’s gorgeous silk & lace wedding gown. She’s the 5th woman in the family to wear THE dress! Family came in from all over (including Columbia!) to witness their unique “creation story” themed wedding ceremony, followed by a sweet High Tea style reception. The tables were set with summer flowers, numerous unique tea pots, and place settings with unique china patterns. Guests enjoyed gourmet scones with cream & lemon curd, dainty sandwiches & wraps, and pretty desserts. Family & friends shared meaningful stories and toasts. It was such a sweet and honoring time. I’m thrilled that they have found each other and thankful for their love for each other, their families, and Jesus Christ. Congratulations Elizabeth & Mauricio!
