Krista & Joe’s Anodyne Coffee Wedding, Milwaukee WI

April 14, 2017 ·

Krista & Joe’s Anodyne Coffee Wedding at Walker’s Point Roastery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Ben and I met Krista years ago when she worked with us at a camp… and we’ve kept in touch all these years. We were so thrilled when Krista found “THE ONE” and asked us to photograph this most special day. I got to know Joe more during their engagement shoot and during their wedding planning…. and it has been so fun to see their joy & love for each other.

Krista loves all things soft, feminine, and vintage, while Joe is a graphic artist and loves vibrant colors, super heros, and comic books. They decided to marry these two styles… and boy did they succeed… with Krista’s lace dress, delicate bridal details, vivid blue bridesmaids dresses, super hero shirts & socks for the guys, and comic book paper boutonnieres, it was a perfect match.

It was a rainy, cold, windy day… and you wouldn’t even know it! The joy, excitement, and smiles wiped away any worry about the weather.

Krista & Joe got ready downtown and then arrived at Epikos Church for their Ceremony. Epikos Church is an amazing old theatre that was renovated to be used as a church… but they kept so many of the historic details… giving the church a really unique feel. Even their church venue fit  their wedding day theme.

After their touching wedding ceremony, the celebration continued on at Anodyne Coffee Walker’s Point Roastery. I have to say that I just loved this venue! Exposed brick, thick wood beams & wood floors, contemporary lighting, unique / rustic tables and chairs, candle light, and fresh flowers… Krista & Joe’s Anodyne Coffee Wedding at Walker’s Point Roastery had it all! With family & friends surrounding them, personal toasts were given, food & drinks enjoyed, and the dancing kicked into gear.

As we were packing up at the end of the night… we discovered it was still raining!! Now, if you know anything about Brown Street Studios, we LOVE LOVE LOVE night rain shots… in fact, I always hope for rain at night on wedding days, just so we can get outside and create some magic!!

(See Krista & Joe’s spectacular night rain photos at the end of this entry.)

We’re so thrilled that Krista & Joe have found each other and we’re excited to see where the future will take them! Congratulations you two!! Love, Becky & Ben too
