A Bear Trap Inn wedding is perfect for couples who love the beauty of the Northwoods and the charm of a classic Northern Wisconsin Supper Club. Lexi and Jason’s intimate early June wedding day near Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin was filled with everything that makes this area so special—beautiful lakes, meaningful family connections, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Some wedding days are grand and elaborate. Others are beautiful because they focus on what matters most. Lexi and Jason’s wedding was exactly that.
Lexi & Jason, along with their young son, have built a life centered around the things they love most: family, love of nature, and spending time in the Northwoods. Because this area holds special connections for them, choosing a Bear Trap Inn Wedding and private lakeside ceremony, was the perfect fit.
From the moment I first connected with Lexi, I could tell how much thought she was putting into every detail. She later shared that she found me through Google and was drawn to my work because it looked like “true art.” That compliment meant so much to me, and I was honored to help bring their vision to life.
The day began at a private lakeside cabin near Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin. Early June brought warm temperatures, a steady breeze, and the vibrant greens. I love this time of the year… so green & alive! It makes the Northwoods so magical.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was its intimate size. With approximately 30 of their closest family members and friends in attendance. Every guest present held a meaningful place in Lexi and Jason’s lives. There was no rush, no pressure, and no distractions—just a day centered on celebrating their marriage with the people they love most.
Lexi looked absolutely stunning in her flowing wedding gown featuring a delicate eyelash lace bodice and a long veil that seemed made for a lakeside wedding. Jason wore a classic tuxedo that perfectly complemented the timeless feel of the day.
One of the most meaningful details was Lexi’s veil. She wore her grandmother’s wedding veil, creating a beautiful connection between generations and adding even more significance to an already emotional celebration.
A favorite memories from the day happened shortly after the ceremony. The breeze coming off the lake picked up Lexi’s veil, sending it dancing through the air. Instead of worrying about it going into the water, she simply laughed. The joy on her face was completely genuine. Those unscripted moments often become some of the most treasured photographs. As photographers, we can plan beautiful locations and perfect timelines, but sometimes nature gives us a little unexpected magic. The movement of her veil and the laughter it created became one of my favorite moments from the day.
Lexi and Jason chose a beautiful color palette of sage green, white, and soft gray tones. These colors reflected the natural colors of early June in the Northwoods.
I always encourage couples to reserve time for detail photographs because those small elements help tell the complete story of the day. Lexi selected a gorgeous invitation suite and brought a beautiful velvet ring box that photographed beautifully. Together, those details added an elegant and timeless touch to their wedding gallery.
Throughout the planning process, I also worked closely with Lexi to create a timeline that would allow them to enjoy their day without feeling rushed. Having a thoughtful schedule in place gave them the freedom to be present with their guests and soak in every moment.
After the lakeside ceremony, everyone gathered at the Bear Trap Inn Supper Club in Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin to continue the celebration.
A Bear Trap Inn wedding offers couples the relaxed charm, fantastic food, excellent cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere that so many people love about the Northwoods. We’re famous for our supper clubs! It was the perfect setting for an intimate wedding reception where meaningful conversations, laughter, a fabulous meal, and connection took center stage.
With just 30 guests, the evening felt less like a large event and more like a gathering of loved ones celebrating a beautiful new chapter together. Every toast felt personal. Each hug lasted a little longer. All the moments mattered.
It was a wedding day that perfectly reflected who Lexi and Jason are: family-centered, genuine, and deeply connected to those they love.
