Where do I even begin with this gorgeous wedding event!!?? Ben and I had the most wonderful time photographing Shannon & Nate’s special day. Guests were gathered from near, the island across the bay, and far, New York and London, to help the couple celebrate their wedding day at Coon’s Franklin Lodge. This is the resort’s 124th summer! Talk about historic! The resort radiates rustic north woods charm in every corner. From hand hewn log buildings to vintage style textiles & linens, they have it all! Nan & Sara, along with their staff welcomed each guest and attended to every detail of the day with great care. With the always fantastic wedding coordinator D’arcy Theiler, personalized details stood out at every turn. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented team.
The day was full of moments that truly captured Shannon & Nate’s joy and love for each other. A beautiful ceremony followed by a champagne toast overlooking Trout Lake set festivities in motion. After a short walk along the lake, the guests were treated to a relaxing cocktail hour at the main lodge. Following a fantastic dinner in the resort’s historic dining room, it was time to let loose and enjoy the live band. We truly felt the joy from all involved.
